Aluminium straight barrel bolts are a type of straight barrel bolt made from aluminium, a lightweight and corrosion-resistant metal. Like other straight barrel bolts, they consist of a cylindrical metal rod (the barrel) that slides horizontally within a housing or brackets mounted on one surface. When extended, the bolt engages with a hole, slot, or strike plate on the adjacent surface to lock the two surfaces together.
